    Solo Male Belted Kingfisher

    Belted Kingfisher-Ceryle alcyon
    I know--It's not Ohio but I thought you'd like to see this anyway. On a recent trip to Hurricane Katrina devastated SE Louisiana, we visited Jean Lafitte National Park, portions of which were heavily damaged. Yet, birds were everywhere! Here is a Male Belted Kingfisher-Ceryle alcyon along the Kenta Canal. Wow!
