    European Starling-Sturnus vulgaris
European Starling, Sturnus vulgaris, Family Sturnidae. Interesting species name (vulgaris). Very gregarious. I spend time chasing them away from the bird feeder! A very successful invasive species. Often occurs in flocks of thousands. "Introduced into New York in 1890-91, it soon spread across the continent."
