Little Blue Heron Stare Little Blue Heron- Egretta caerulea Little Blue Heron- Egretta caerulea, Order Ciconiiformes, Family Ardeidae. This juvenile Little Blue Heron is a first for me in Ohio. Found near the north end of Acton Lake on a beautiful afternoon on Sep 11. This is an immature. It will change color as it matures.
