Bonaparte's Gull- Larus philadelphia, Family Laridae. My apologies for the poor photo! But, it's better than nothing! One of the smallest gulls in North America. This juvenile was frantically fishing (initially looked like a tern to me) in the Shaker Trace Wetland marsh area in the Miami Whitewater Forest area in SW Ohio. This bird was on his way south for the winter. The photo was taken from the observation tower.
