Female Belted Kingfisher- Ceryle Alcyon
| Female Belted Kingfisher- Ceryle Alcyon, Order Coraciiformes, Family Alcedinidae. This beautiful female Belted Kingfisher was tossing her fish prey up in the air prior to eating it on a beautiful late October morning at Acton lake in Heuston Woods State Park in SW Ohio. That's wuite a mouthful!
