A Piece of Snow in a Field of Geese
    Full Size Image = 4466 K
    Snow Goose- Chen caerulescens
Snow, Chen caerulescens, Order Anseriformes-Family Anatidae, Subfamily Anserinae. Another Life and photo-first for me! Look closely. The lone white goose in a field of hundreds of Canada Geese is a Snow Goose. These birds were at the extreme northern end of Brookville Reservoir in SE Indiana near the Ohio border. Hundreds of geese were clustered just south of the Dunlapsville causeway. "A medium size goose that breeds in the arctic tundra. Populations seem to be increasing in North America."
